The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Honours) programme introduces students to the study of logic, ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, Indian and Western philosophy. It develops critical thinking, rational inquiry and ethical reasoning through systematic study of philosophical traditions.
The programme combines classical philosophical thought with contemporary perspectives, enabling students to analyze social, moral and intellectual issues while preparing them for careers in education, research, civil services and public administration.

The Department follows an interactive and research-oriented teaching approach that combines classroom lectures, tutorials, seminars, philosophical discussions, assignments and independent study to encourage logical reasoning, ethical understanding and critical analysis.
